"Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people."

Eleanor Roosevelt was one of our most amazing first ladies. She perservered through the Great Depression and helped our country to rejuvenate and find hope. She is doubly an inspiration during this looming financial crisis. She has influenced so many Americans, and will continue to for many years to come. Here‘s a great link for more information. One of my favorite quotes of hers is “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” It really has helped me remember my dream when the road is tough.

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.

Remember always that you not only have the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one.

Too often the great decisions are originated and given form in bodies made up wholly of men, or so completely dominated by them that whatever of special value women have to offer is shunted aside without expression.

The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.

Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product.

It is better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness.
