I read this book by Margaret Peterson Haddix about two weeks ago. I have loved every other book of hers, but this one was a HUGE disappointment. The plot was contrived and extremely predictable. The writing was elementary and did not add to the overall story. The love interest was bland and non-committal. Just two weeks later, I can hardly remember details other than the skeleton plot. I can’t believe I actually spent an hour of my life reading this.
I feel bad for the harsh review – I read her book The Found ( or something like that) about half a year ago and ADORED it. I guess the princessy book just isn’t my type.
I read this book a few weeks ago and ADORED it. It was one of the most fabulous books I have ever read. I kept turning pages and i would sneak it under my text book in class it was so addicting. Now I am doing a book presentation on it and when I saw this I just had to do a reveiw, it was a must. If you are looking for excitment and fantasy with a hint of mysterious wonder this is the book for you. Don’t look it over you too guys it was great and princesses aren’t just for girls now are they? Okay maybe they are but excitment is not and if you are too embarressed to read it use a book cover silly!!!!
I HEART THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
